HALT/HAAS
Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) and Highly Accelerated Stress Screen (HASS) combine extremes of temperature, temperature change, and multi-axis vibration to rapidly expose design weaknesses and process flaws. The HALT step stress process quickly detects inherent design weaknesses, allowing easier incorporation of design changes and thus shortening overall development time. HASS, a screen of your manufactured goods, ensures that your products are defect free. By subjecting your product to stresses far exceeding those in the field, HALT/HASS in effect accelerates time. You enter the market much sooner - with more mature and more reliable product - than traditional testing methods might allow.
