Two new 730 Ton Van Dorn Injection molding machines Purchased April 5, 2002

TEC AIR, Inc. announced today that it has purchased 2 new 730 Ton Van Dorn Spectra Injection Molding machines for use in its Willow Springs, IL and Lewisburg, TN facilities. The new machines will be rigged with STAR Automation robots and automated material handling systems to form a completely automated work cell. This latest machine purchase continues TEC AIR's relationship with Van Dorn bringing the number of Van Dorn molding machines at TEC AIR to 34. The machine range in size from 85 Tons to 730 Tons. Initially, the new work cells will manufacture axial flow fans for automotive and light truck engine cooling applications. The work cells will also be used to manufacture axial flow fans for tractor/trailer refrigeration applications. The work cells will have the capability to mold axial flow ring fans and axial flow fans with diameters in excess of 26". TEC AIR is the leading manufacturer of blower wheels for automotive HVAC OEMs. It also manufactures fans, blower wheels and blower assemblies for appliance, home and garden, commercial applications. The addition of the 730 Ton work cells will compliment TEC AIR's product line with larger diameter fans. TEC AIR, Inc. has manufactured injection molded air movement components and systems for over 30 years. All of TEC AIR's facilities are QS 9000 and ISO 9002 registered. TEC AIR's facility in Lewisburg, TN also manufactures injection molded structural and functional components for the automotive and appliance industries.
